The Gangxi branch of Jianhu Library was built in 2010. The venue is located on the third, fourth and fifth floors of the original agricultural economy building on jiangangxi Road, Gangxi Town, with a construction area of 510 square meters. The library has more than 10000 books, more than 10 newspapers and magazines, and the branch library receives more than 600 readers annually. The center has a book reading room, an electronic reading room (10 computers), a table tennis room, a chess and card room, a fitness room, a painting and calligraphy room, a training room, a women's and children's room and other functional rooms.

The branch is equipped with special staff, which is free and open on time on weekdays. Standardized management and humanized services are implemented to meet the cultural life of the masses to the greatest extent. Relevant working systems, book reading systems, management systems, etc. are all on the wall, and 15 rural bookstores are set up. The staff of the township culture and broadcasting center regularly go to the grass-roots level to guide the normal opening and business management training of the rural bookstore in each village (neighborhood), and regularly organize business training for the staff of the rural bookstore. The branch library cooperates with relevant departments to carry out various activities more than 6 times a year, and holds a series of national reading activities at Zhifu road in Zhencheng every year. The town culture and Broadcasting Center organized personnel to participate in the county wide "I and the farmhouse bookstore" speech essay solicitation activity, and won the first prize for two consecutive years. In December 2015, the rural bookstore in Gangxi town won the honorary title of "advanced town for pilot work of upgrading project" awarded by Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of radio, television, press and publication. The center always keeps in mind the purpose of serving the people, and tries to send culture to rural areas and vulnerable groups, so as to prosper the comprehensive development of cultural undertakings in the whole town.
